The wider spaces, in fact, for the first 4-5 years will allow the cultivation of many crops (for example wheat, corn, soybeans, alfalfa or other multi-year meadows, vegetables, aromatic or medicinal herbs, etc.), taking advantage of the wide light and adequate spaces between the rows.

This option, in addition to ensuring the adequate and rapid growth of the trees until they are cut, will also offer the investor the following additional advantages:

• Possibility of securing an additional source of income through the intrafila crop starting from year 1, without having to wait several years until the first cut

• Possibility of collecting PAC contributions or other regional contributions , linked precisely to the cultivation of the same intrafila crop

• Possibility to economize and amortize the multi-year investment costs of the plantation (above all, but not only, the irrigation system)

• By taking advantage of the irrigation system installed for paulownia, the investor will also have the possibility both to grow crops that usually require irrigation, and to increase the yields of crops that traditionally do not irrigate to avoid facing the costs of ' irrigation system
